Reflections & Projects!

Module Reflection of WIX Creation Module

To create my own WIX website is a really cool, nice and eye-opening experience! I could feel the sense of achievement when I finish the project and demonstrate my project on my own website. One of the best parts was being able to put all my work in one place. The website made things look pretty, neat and helped me clearly show what project I’ve done.

Otherwise, I also learned a lot for using different digital tools, such as how to set up a website, upload the stuff, and make sure the website is easy to use. I think it really improved my tech skills. Moreover, working on this e-portfolio made me think more about my own learning. It wasn’t like the usual way of learning from textbooks or tests. Instead, I try to do something cool and creative. The experience helped me understand things better and remember them longer. Every time when I edited my website, I had to think carefully to make sure that what I shared really told my own reflections and showed who am I. The project gave me some cool ideas about teaching, I realized how helpful e-portfolios can be use for junior or senior high school students to learn in different ways—using words, pictures, and even interactive stuff. If I become a teacher, I’d like to use e-portfolios in my class so students can be more creative and in control of their own learning. It’s a great way to build skills we’ll need in the future, like working with technology and working with others.

However, there were some tough parts. Figuring out how to fix the font, colors, and styles took a lot of time. I also had a hard time making things like the comment box work right. Balancing between making the site look nice and making sure it worked well wasn’t easy either. At first, I found all the web design stuff kind of confusing and stressful. To get through those problems, I tried to  watched videos, read online guides, and asked for help from friends. Talking to others and getting their advice really made a difference. I also kept reminding myself not to give up, even when I got frustrating to learn something new. In the end, the project helped me grow a lot.

In summary, I got better at using technology in teaching, thinking deeply about my own instruction, and problem-solving skills. It made me feel excited about new ways of learning and teaching. Even though it wasn’t always easy for me! I’ve learned so much and be stronger in the end.
